COUPLINGS were used to join randomly selected hubless cast
iron soil pipe and fittings in sizes 2", 3", 4", 5", 6", 8"
and 10" conforming to the configuration in Figure 5. All bolts
and nuts of the MG COUPLINGS were torqued to 175 inch-pounds.
The ends of the assembly was filled with water. A thirty (30)
foot hydrostatic head of water (13 psi) was maintained for
a period of eight (8) hours. |
